About Destiny

Destiny has come a long way from her difficult beginnings. Just about a year old, Destiny arrived at the shelter so neglected that it was hard to tell she was even a dog. She suffered from severe skin issues, dental problems, and a damaged mouth that likely resulted from some kind of trauma, possibly a firework or electrical injury. Her foster mom put in the hard work—after two surgeries, Destiny can now enjoy her food again, although she still has a small hole in her palate and eats larger kibble and soft proteins like ground beef or chicken. Destiny weighs around 35 pounds and is full of puppy energy. Her long-legged build keeps her on the small side. She loves jumping up to say hello, giving sloppy kisses, and playing with both people and other dogs. Destiny isn’t a big fan of the leash yet, which is understandable given everything she’s been through. She would thrive in a caring home that’s ready to keep building her confidence—puppy classes would be a great fit. Whoever brings Destiny home will be giving her the life she truly deserves, finally letting her be herself. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
