Meet Sue! This sweet Schnauzer is estimated to have been born around 2018. At first, she may be a little hesitant and nervous, but be assured that once she opens up, she becomes a truly loving companion. Sue is highly food motivated and enjoys snuggling on her favorite blanket. She adores her foster Schnauzer brother and is just beginning to learn how to play with her lamb chop toy! Sue enjoys her walks and eagerly sniffs every inch of her surroundings. Each day, she gains more confidence and loves exploring her backyard. On walks, she's a gem and doesn’t bark at people or other dogs. However, she does use her voice at home to protect her person, remaining quiet for the mailman and delivery drivers. Given her vocal protective nature, Sue would thrive best in a home that isn't an apartment, where she can feel secure. She tends to be cautious around men, but her foster is currently helping her build confidence in this area. It’s important for Sue's future family to know she is heartworm positive and will need a supportive family for her treatment. She gets along well with small dogs, so any canine housemates should also be on the smaller side. Sue is not crate trained and, sweetly, she is missing some teeth, which adds to her adorable personality. Sue needs a patient family who will allow her the time and space to adjust to their home at her own pace. Once she trusts you, she has so much love to give.
