About Max

Meet Max! Max is an approximately 5-month-old Mountain Cur mix who was found abandoned as a stray, alongside his brother Peanut. A kind person took care of them for a couple of weeks, but due to their housing situation, they couldn’t keep the pups. Now Max is eager to find a loving family of his own. This sweet boy has a gentle and slightly bashful personality. While he's not the quickest to approach new friends, a little time and encouragement reveal what a wonderful puppy he can be. Max is affectionate and friendly; he just needs a moment to warm up and feel secure. He has been around other dogs and children, adapting well to both. However, he has lived outside until now, meaning much of family life will be a new adventure for him. At this perfect "older puppy" age, Max is ready to learn and grow. His new family will need to help him catch up on socialization, teach him household manners, and introduce him to all the joys of indoor life. Max may have missed some early life experiences, but with patience, consistency, and plenty of love, this bashful boy is brimming with potential. He’s ready to trade outdoor living for a warm home, a cozy bed, and a family eager to share all the wonderful things he’s been missing. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and let’s get started.
