About Jorah

Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you. Meet Jorah! He is thought to be a Mountain Cur or Plott Hound mix who came to the shelter after being abandoned with his sister on farmland. Thanks to good care, Jorah’s once-rough coat is now healthy and filled in, ready for lots of head scratches. He can be shy and takes some time to trust new people, but once he chooses his person, his bond is deep and unwavering. Jorah is very sweet, craving affection and attention from those he trusts. While he can tolerate the company of other dogs, Jorah really needs to be the only animal in your home. He’s proven to struggle when left alone for long periods, so is best suited for a single person looking for a devoted companion. Jorah is eager to please, trainable, and already knows some commands, making him a great choice for someone ready to give a loyal dog a chance to settle in and shine. Think you are the one?
