Meet Bailey, also known as "Piglet" or "Muppet." This loving senior girl is around seven years old and weighs twenty-four pounds. She's a delightful mix of curiosity and affection, enjoying downtime with her favorite human while also being up for a two-mile walk to explore the great outdoors. Her foster notes that she often leads the way! Bailey is very adaptable, easily fitting into new environments. She quickly snuggled into her foster's lap upon meeting, showcasing her friendly nature. She's house trained and communicates when she needs to go out, plus she’s crate trained, seeing her crate as her cozy retreat. On the leash, she’s easy-going and picks up simple commands like "this way" and "let's go." Whether it's sniffing around nature, enjoying family time, or seeking out a cozy spot for naps, Bailey thrives on companionship. She’s particularly fond of baths, especially when there's a little encouragement, and she enjoys a tasty dinner featuring sardines or salmon. Bailey is best suited for an older adopter or someone who spends much time at home. While she’s comfortable in the city, she truly flourishes outdoors. Ideally, she would thrive in a home on one level or with minimal stairs. Her foster family has seen her sweet disposition shine, even after past neglect. They admire her passion for food, affection, and even her interest in chipmunks. Currently, she’s on thyroid medication and receiving care for a mild yeast overgrowth, but both are manageable.
