About Chester

Chester is a delightful senior Miniature Schnauzer, estimated to be about 10 years old and weighing around 16 pounds. This quirky little fellow is a great companion for adventures, though he'd prefer to be curled up in your lap for hours. He has some hearing loss, but this doesn’t dampen his spirit. Chester shows remarkable behavior in his crate while his foster mom is at work. An excellent leash walker, Chester thoroughly enjoys car rides. He is friendly and never met a stranger, but his true happiness lies in being cozy in someone’s lap, with only brief breaks for potty and snacks. Though he’s indifferent to most dogs, he takes time to build trust with bigger ones. He’s not the best with cats and would do best in a feline-free home. Chester does have a quirk: he wears a belly band diaper due to excitement that leads him to mark. He was already potty pad trained when he came to the rescue, but he struggles a bit with aim. Fortunately, he will be adopted with a lifetime supply of washable belly bands. If you’re looking for a warm, loving companion to share your life with, Chester is eager to meet you.
