Chevy is a male Chihuahua mix, 6 months old and still a baby. He’s small in size and hasn’t been house trained yet. Although he has been neutered and is up-to-date on vaccinations, he needs an understanding adopter to help him thrive in a quiet environment. He's currently located in Worcester, MA.

Chevy is a 6-month-old male Short Coat Chihuahua weighing 6 pounds. He is on a long journey toward becoming a more social pup. Chevy, along with his brother Ford, needs understanding and patient adopters who appreciate that some dogs require extra time to feel comfortable. Both puppies come from a background with limited socialization, and while they’ve made progress, they still need a gentle hand. Chevy is particularly cautious, often more skeptical of new people and other dogs. The ideal home for Chevy will be a quiet adult environment where he can feel safe without pressure. Gentle introductions to new experiences such as wearing a collar or walking on a leash are essential. He doesn’t seek cuddles right away, preferring to take things at his own pace, and he may appreciate treats like cheese as a way to build trust. This loving pup may never become highly confident or outgoing, and that’s perfectly okay. Chevy is looking for someone who can celebrate each small victory on his path to becoming more comfortable in the world. If you think you can offer him a loving home, visit the shelter during our adoption hours on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 12-4 PM to meet him!
