About Choco
Meet Choco — a cuddly 12-pound Chihuahua mix who's all about sweet moments and taking things at his own pace. At only one year old, Choco has learned that the world can feel overwhelming. He’s not one to rush up for affection; instead, he prefers to observe from a distance and decide when it’s safe to approach. Once he feels secure, he transforms into a loving, playful companion who won't leave your side. Choco thrives in a calm environment and can be easily startled by loud noises or sudden movements, which makes him best suited for quieter homes. He’s nervous around new people, especially men, so having someone patient to guide him is essential. He takes time to warm up, but once you’ve earned his trust, Choco becomes a delightful little friend who shares kisses and snuggles throughout the night. This guy does best with dogs his own size, having taken about a week of gentle introductions to feel comfortable with his foster dog family. He's house-trained but may mark indoors without supervision. Training with positive reinforcement will help him with leash walking and adjusting to a collar or harness. Choco is not ideal for homes with children or large dogs, and keeping him in a noisy city or busy apartment is not recommended.
