Meet Kit Kat. She's a 1.5-year-old, 50-pound Chow Chow and Australian Cattle Dog mix with an inspiring tale of resilience. After living on the streets for the first five months of her life, she found her way to rescue with her siblings, where she struggled to trust people but began to flourish. Kit Kat has made significant strides in her foster home, learning daily that she can trust humans. While she can be timid in new situations, she thrives with other dogs, and having a confident canine companion will help her adapt even more. Once she knows you, her affectionate and loving nature shines through. Kit Kat enjoys snuggles, playful zoomies, and rolling in the grass, making her a delight to be around. This sweet girl is potty trained, crate trained, and food motivated, which makes her eager to learn. She may take her time to adjust to new environments and people, opting to observe from a distance when uncertain, but she has never shown aggression. Her ideal home is one that appreciates her journey and is prepared to earn her trust at her pace. Though Kit Kat hasn’t interacted much with cats, she seems calm around them and shows no signs of interest in chasing. This lovely girl is making progress every day, and with a patient adopter and another friendly dog, she is sure to blossom into an incredible lifelong companion.
