Vixen is a gentle, sweet young boy who is still learning that the world can be a safe place. After being surrendered in Texas with his brother, it's clear he hasn't had much socialization or the chance to experience life as many dogs do. Rather than let this shy boy fall through the cracks, we brought Vixen to Iowa, knowing our team could provide him with the patience and encouragement he needs to build confidence. He is naturally reserved and can be flighty when nervous, often taking his time to adjust to new people and experiences. However, beneath this shyness, Vixen is intelligent, calm, and incredibly sweet. As he grows more comfortable, we believe his personality will continue to shine. Vixen does well with other dogs and has been good with children ages 13 and up. He is crate trained and keeps his space tidy. Having other dogs around could help him feel more at ease, and a consistent routine will be essential as he learns that he is safe. This boy requires a patient, experienced owner who understands that building confidence takes time. A quiet home with a predictable routine and plenty of positive reinforcement will give him the foundation he needs to bloom.
