About Weston

Weston is a charming older gentleman looking for a loving home where he can thrive. At 88 pounds, this big German Shepherd has more life and energy than you'd expect, despite needing to gain a bit more weight. He is social and confident, enjoying interactions with other dogs without any reactivity. However, he does have some resource guarding tendencies, so it's best for him to be in a home without other dogs or young children, unless the owner is experienced with breed behavior. Weston does have a minor gastrointestinal condition that requires vitamin B12 injections and a special diet. We’re looking for a "forever foster" for him, someone who can provide a caring home while we manage his medical needs. The ideal adopter would need to transport him for veterinary care in Cedar Falls or Waverly, IA. This senior dog is housetrained and gets along well with cats. If you think you could be the right fit for Weston, let’s talk!
