Meet Peanut, a young, neutered male Chihuahua mix. He is a small pup, about 20 pounds, with a playful spirit. Peanut is house trained and has his vaccinations up to date. He's currently located in Martinez, CA, and is ready to find a loving forever home.

About Peanut

Peanut is a fun-loving 1.5-year-old Chihuahua mix currently in foster care in San Antonio, Texas. He weighs about 20 pounds and is neutered. Peanut was rescued from a hoarding situation where he lived with 80 other dogs, which understandably left him a bit anxious about the world outside. However, he is thriving in his foster home and learning what it's like to be part of a family. As an energetic pup, Peanut enjoys playtime and is full of curiosity. He has a playful nature and loves chasing toys, but he's also learning to respect boundaries from other dogs while he figures out how to share space. Peanut is friendly and eager to connect, though new experiences can be a bit overwhelming for him. He is making great strides with commands and house training, but he needs a patient adopter who understands that accidents may happen. Given his playful personality, Peanut would do best in a home with teens or older children, preferring an active environment with consistency and structure. While he hasn't been tested with cats, he thrives alongside other friendly dogs who can help build his confidence. Peanut is looking for someone dedicated to providing the love and adventures he craves. If you're ready for a loyal companion to join you on hiking trips or exploring the outdoors, Peanut could be the perfect match for you. This goofy pup has come a long way, and with the right adopter, he will continue blossoming into a fantastic friend. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
