About Sadie

Sadie is a sweet Golden Retriever mix who has shown incredible resilience. Rescued from a tough situation in Kosovo, she started her journey feeling afraid and unsure. Though initially nervous and timid, she quickly warmed up to her foster family, learning to trust and find joy in her new life. Sadie would thrive in a calm environment, and she’s demonstrated that she's house trained and gets along well with both cats and dogs. Having undergone eye removal surgery, she is almost completely blind. This has shaped her personality, and she may react fearfully in new situations or when feeling trapped. It's important for her new family to move slowly as she adjusts, allowing her the time she needs to feel safe. A fenced yard would be ideal for her new adventures. Sadie is currently undergoing heartworm treatment, limiting her playtime but not her spirit. She's learning how to play gently and loves to chase her tail.
