Meet Tequila, a fawn and white beauty with soft eyes and a gentle demeanor. This resilient girl has faced challenges in her early life, making her a bit unsure at first. Give her just a moment, and watch her guard soften as she leans into the affection she craves. Tequila is learning that not every person or dog poses a threat. With patience, she settles in beautifully and becomes affectionate, especially once she knows she is safe. She has a charming way of reminding her humans that taking a rest is important for productivity. Though her past is largely unknown, her estimated age is 4 years, and she was born on August 15, 2022, making her a Leo. Tequila prefers calm environments and gradual introductions to new faces, both human and canine. While she can initially be reactive to other dogs out of uncertainty, she becomes comfortable once she gets to know them. Tequila unfortunately does not get along with cats and will require a cat-free home. Fostered with children and other dogs, Tequila has proven that she can coexist well, showing immense patience and love towards the kids. Her ideal home is one that understands her anxious behaviors and can help build her confidence at her own pace. Tequila thrives in a predictable environment—routines matter to her. Training-wise, she is potty trained and crate trained, currently working on her leash skills. Tequila has been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and treated for parasites.
