Haisai is a smart, polished companion with a strong training background and a playful spirit waiting to shine. A shelter volunteer calls him a perfect loose-leash walker, always heeling effortlessly beside his person and checking in naturally. His attentiveness and polite demeanor make time spent with him a true joy. Haisai boasts an impressive array of skills; he knows commands like 'sit', 'down', 'stay', 'come', 'shake', and 'high five', and he loves to showcase his abilities on the shelter’s agility course. Highly motivated by treats, he is eager to work with his handler, turning training sessions into enjoyable bonding experiences. Haisai is housetrained and accustomed to a crate routine. His former caregiver reported no accidents, and he demonstrated good behavior by staying in his crate while alone and sleeping there through the night. He even understands 'go home' as a cue to enter his kennel. Walks, squeaky toys, chewing on bones, and receiving ample scratches and pets are among his favorites. Having played and socialized with other dogs, Haisai started out a bit stiff and nervous but quickly relaxed to enjoy some zoomies.
