Meet Barley! This adorable one-year-old Shih Tzu mix has quite the story. Late one night, we discovered a post about two dogs needing immediate help—it’s always worrying when dogs are given away for free. When we picked Barley up, it became clear just how urgent it was. His fur was a tangled mess, full of debris, and it took hours and a trip to the vet to get him cleaned up and comfortable. Since arriving at his foster home, Barley has made amazing progress. We’re so proud of how far he’s come. He plays well with other dogs and enjoys the company of cats and children, making him a wonderful family pet. That said, Barley is a bit timid in new situations, so having a confident small dog around would really help him thrive. A fenced yard is also a must for him as he's still learning to walk on a leash. Barley is neutered, vaccinated, and ready to find his forever home. Interested in adopting Barley?
