Although Smoke is not currently altered and his vaccinations are not up to date, he is ready to be adopted by someone who will care for him. He is not yet house trained and is still adjusting to his surroundings. A little attention and love will go a long way for this handsome pup.
About Smoke
Smoke is a striking young Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler mix who arrived at the HSOV on September 19th, 2026, after finding his way to a family's porch. They tried hard to locate his owner but decided to bring him to our shelter when no one came forward. He wasn't wearing a collar or microchipped, making him an unofficial guest before he found his way to safety. With a short black-and-white coat featuring lovely blue ticking, Smoke stands out with his long legs and well-proportioned face, accentuated by brown eyes and large, erect ears. He has a long tail that adds to his charm. Recently, he posed beautifully for outdoor photos, showing off his model-like demeanor while meeting some of the shelter's resident kitties. Although he was curious, he seemed a bit intimidated by them, opting to maintain his distance. Smoke will need some time to settle in, including a weigh-in to help him gain a few healthy pounds to his trim build. For now, he walks gently on a leash and is looking for a family that will cherish him. This fine dog is eager for a loving home and has an adoption fee of $150.
