Gracie is a charming black and white pup, possibly a Cocker Spaniel or a spaniel/Shih Tzu mix, just over a year old. She weighs around 20 pounds and has a playful, energetic spirit. Gracie was rescued from a dangerous spot on the overpass of 635/Abrams, where she was nearly hit by cars. Luckily, she was brought to safety and cleared of illnesses during her vet check-up. Though no one has come looking for her, she's ready to find a forever home. This little queen is affectionate and loyal but can be territorial, especially regarding food and attention. She's best suited as the only dog in her new home, where she can bask in the limelight. While Gracie gets along with older children, her past trauma means a home without younger kids might be ideal. She's housebroken and knows basic commands like sit, stay, come, and fetch. Though she's naturally cautious around men, with slow introductions and treats, she can overcome her fears. Gracie would thrive in a female-only household or one with patient males. Having a yard is a must for her—she loves to chase vermin and sunbathe. A loving family where someone is home often would suit her best. Gracie is ready to fill your life with loyalty and snuggles, especially when she's not competing for attention.
