Atticus is an energetic young hound mix, likely a Bluetick mix, who has captured the hearts of everyone he meets. At just 1.5 years old, he's been part of the rescue community since he was a puppy. Having survived parvo, this charming dog has attended many adoption events but still hasn't found his forever home in rural Mississippi, where pet overpopulation is a pressing issue. Friendly and sociable, Atticus gets along beautifully with kids, dogs, and even cats. He’s crate trained and leash trained, and although he’s almost house trained, he’s still waiting for a permanent home to solidify that training. At around 45 pounds, he has a slender build and is fully vaccinated and neutered. The rescue believes in his potential for a great life up north. Atticus is ready for a loving family.
