About Cheese

Meet Cheese. This young, 45-pound Pittie had a tough start after being abandoned in an empty apartment. As a result, he takes some time to warm up to new people. Once he trusts you, though, he forms a strong bond. Cheese loves to play, particularly tug-of-war, and is very food and toy motivated. Heโ€™s made great strides in training and knows commands like sit, down, stay, and recall. He walks nicely on a leash, is house-trained, and behaves well in his crate. At home, heโ€™s a mellow and well-mannered companion. While he's great with respectful teenagers, Cheese would thrive as the only dog in the home or potentially with a compatible playmate. His sensitivity to pressure from strangers means he needs an understanding person who can help him navigate new encounters. Cheese is neutered, vaccinated, and heartworm negative. His adoption fee is fully sponsored, and foster-to-adopt options are available. He doesnโ€™t need to connect with everyone, just the right person. Click apply to start the adoption process.
