Calypso is a large, affectionate female husky mix. As an adult, she’s house trained, and while she hasn't been spayed yet, she’s exceptionally gentle and friendly, particularly with children. Located in Wilmington, NC, she’s ready to find a caring foster or adoptive home.

About Calypso

Calypso arrived at the rescue pregnant and ready to deliver. Despite being undernourished, she brought nine healthy puppies into the world and has been an incredible mother to them. Calypso is a genuinely sweet and kind dog, showing affection and loyalty to everyone. She's currently heartworm positive, but don't let that deter you; our rescue will cover her treatment and spay costs. Calypso is ready to go to a foster home or a foster-to-adopt situation, but keep in mind, she’ll need some time to heal before being permanently adopted. Due to her medical needs, Calypso is only available in New Hanover County (NC). While we haven’t introduced her to other dogs yet, she’s expected to interact well, especially since she’s good with children.
