Max is house-trained and great with children, and volunteers note that he is sweet and well-mannered. He already knows several commands like sit and stay, showcasing his intelligence. Max is understandably a bit confused by the shelter environment. He has tested positive for heartworms, creating an urgent need for care. Fortunately, with treatment, he can fully recover and live a healthy, happy life.
