About Merida

Merida is a gentle soul blossoming more each day. This sweet girl has a playful side and a heart that's ready to connect with the right person. At first, she may appear shy around new faces, cautiously approaching them in her own time. However, as she finds comfort, her true joyful personality shines through. Her foster parent has seen Merida grow significantly in confidence and comfort over the past few months. Merida enjoys the company of other dogs and loves to romp around with them, share toys, or relax in the yard while they play. A forever home with another gentle, playful dog would help her confidence soar further. She is house-trained, knows how to use a doggy door, and respects fences. Merida can be left alone without causing trouble, and she is not possessive with her food or toys. Although she prefers chews like salmon sticks and cow ears over food motivators, she has a quirky habit of tossing toys for herself, a delightful quirk that her foster mom cherishes. Although she feels uneasy about baths and car rides, Merida settles down quickly and is learning that new experiences can be okay. When she's happy, her smile, bright eyes, and gentle pawing tell you everything. Merida might not rush to greet every stranger, but with a little patience and time, she will reward you with unwavering loyalty and love. Could she be the missing piece in your family?
