About Cali Cheese

Meet Cali Cheese! She's a delightful calico with unique markings and a cute little birdie noise that she makes when she's feeling chatty. When she first arrived at her foster home, Cali was incredibly shy, often hiding and avoiding interaction. She initially enjoyed the company of her furry siblings, but after being given a room to herself, she quickly came out of her shell, seeking lap time and affection from her foster. Although she’s still tentative around new visitors, her warm and loving personality shines through with a little patience. Cali thrives with her cat friends; she holds her own with much larger siblings and loves to play with all types of toys. She enjoys chasing feathers and is quite independent, often claiming a cozy bed for herself. One of her favorite pastimes is watching birds and cat videos on a tablet! Cali Cheese is spayed and up-to-date on her vaccinations. She’s currently in Wheeling, IL, at our Heartland Facility and is ready to find her forever home. Bring a blanket to pat on your lap to coax her over; her love will be boundless once she trusts you. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and let's get started.
