About Jasper

Jasper is a go-anywhere, do-anything kind of dog. This easy-going fella boasts good kiddo syndrome, meaning he gets along fabulously with everyone—men, women, kids, and other dogs too. Though he hasn’t interacted much with cats, he remains calm around the feral ones he has encountered. At about 3 years old and weighing around 55-60 lbs, Jasper is likely a Labrador Shepherd mix. He has a slightly thicker coat than the average lab, and his floppy ears add a touch of charm. Jasper is friendly and well-rounded, whether you're heading out for a walk or lounging at home. His energy scores an 8 on a 1-10 scale but he’s not hyperactive; he knows how to chill and simply enjoys your company. Affectionate and loyal, Jasper is eager to greet you when you arrive home. Although he hasn't shown protectiveness, his loyal nature suggests he would step up if needed. His foster describes him as a sweet, family-friendly dog who’d enjoy camping, and he’s intelligent, already knowing how to sit. Jasper is currently staying in a kennel but appears to be house-trained, keeping his space clean. Having endured a cruel past, Jasper has miraculously adjusted well and is ready for a loving home. He’s looking for a caring companion who appreciates the joy a good dog brings. Could that be you? Click apply to start the adoption process.
