About Chelsea
Meet Chelsea! This spirited three-year-old Kelpie/Border Collie mix currently resides in Amherst, MA. With her tricolor coat, she’s an adventurous athlete, devoted cuddle buddy, and exceptionally clever companion. At about 45 pounds, Chelsea is perfect for an active lifestyle. She loves balls, tug, fetch, swimming, and going for car rides—basically any adventure that lets her stretch her legs and engage her sharp mind. She thrives when given at least an hour of daily exercise and mental challenges. Importantly, she's also a pro at settling down after playtime, enjoying sunbathing and cuddling with her favorite people. Chelsea is house-trained, crate-trained, spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated. She's well-mannered at the vet, showcasing her cooperative nature. Though she enjoys one-on-one playtime with dogs, she can get overwhelmed in large groups or dog parks and may need space from other dogs during walks. Calm, respectful older children will be a great match for her. Chelsea benefits from structure and routine, and her current family offers support toward additional training for her new home. A secure yard would give Chelsea the freedom to move safely, though off-leash activities should be approached with caution until her recall is reliably trained. Could Chelsea be the clever, loving adventure buddy you're looking for? If you're interested in adopting Chelsea, please reach out to Joyful Pets Animal Rescue for more information.
