Handsome, smart, charming, and full of personality... Heathcliff is ready to find his forever home! This Chocolate Labrador Retriever came to HSOC from a hoarding situation up north, and he has absolutely amazed us with his resilience. Heathcliff is healthy, playful, and loves attention from his people. He also enjoys the company of other dogs and has been respectful of cats when they set their boundaries, making him a great candidate for a home with feline friends. At almost 80 pounds and 3 years old, Heathcliff is already altered and ready to start his next chapter. Like all of our dogs, he will go home up to date on vaccinations and preventatives, and he is microchipped. His adopter will also receive a free training lesson to help make the transition from shelter life to home life as smooth as possible. And now for Heathcliff's best party trick: he talks! Heathcliff has a very hound-like way of expressing himself, and there may very well be some hound hiding somewhere in that Chocolate Lab exterior. Who knows?! What we do know is that Heathcliff is wonderfully vocal and loves to howl, chat with his people, and converse with his canine friends. This handsome guy could be your new best friend, and he certainly has plenty to say about it! Submit an application today, and a member of our Dog Team will be in touch.
