About Lucky
Meet Lucky, a delightful 1-year-old rat terrier and Chihuahua mix who weighs just 8 pounds. He came to us from the Southwest after being surrendered with his friend Lucy. Lucky, affectionately known as Polka Dots for his charming spots, is currently low energy but shows a growing interest in play and leash walking. His foster believes heโll transition to a moderate energy level as he settles in. He loves people, often seeking affection and happily joining friends for cuddles, although he also values his quiet nap time. Though a bit nervous in new situations, Lucky displays real bravery. He's friendly with everyone he's met and gets along well with other dogs, including both large and small pups. Just a heads up, he can be a little growly if his housemates invade his dinner space. Lucky is fully potty trained and is developing his crate training while learning to master leash walking and the command "sit." His day consists of leisurely walks, playtime with his plush duck, and peaceful naps. For his future home, Lucky would thrive best in a calm, apartment-friendly environment, either as an only pet or with a gentler dog companion. His temperament is perfect for first-time dog owners, as he doesnโt possess complex behavioral needs, though he may feel overwhelmed in an energetic household with young children. With plenty of love to give, Lucky is ready to find his forever family. Ready to welcome Lucky into your heart? What are you waiting for? Apply today!
