About Matilda
**Meet Matilda!** Matilda, a 3-year-old Border Terrier mix, weighs in at 17 pounds and boasts an adorable scruffy look. Found wandering the streets of South Texas, she was rescued by a Good Samaritan who brought her to safety. This delightful dog has a couple of unique hairless spots, hinting there might be a bit of Mexican Hairless Dog in her background. Regardless of her lineage, one thing is clear: **Matilda is 100% charming.** Potty trained and crate trained, Matilda thrives on human companionship. She is loyal and affectionate, enjoying every moment spent with her people. Matilda may bark at newcomers, believing she’s a big dog protecting her loved ones, but she quickly warms up to friends and will embrace them as part of her circle. Matilda is currently in Brownsville, TX, awaiting her forever home. She gets along well with other dogs and is good with children. Although she hasn't been cat tested, she hasn't displayed much prey drive. After surviving the tough streets, Matilda is ready for the life she deserves—one full of love and security.
