About Duke
Duke is a wonderful companion dog who's had quite the journey. He's moved between several homes, leading to a cautious nature when meeting new people. However, if you sit quietly, he'll soon nuzzle up, seeking connection with hopeful eyes asking, 'Will you be my friend?' This large male dog thrives in a stable and calm household. He currently enjoys the company of his work-from-home foster parents and their friendly big dog. Duke is a great office companion, mastered using the doggy door for potty breaks, and crates well overnight. Heβs not fussy about food and loves a good game of fetch or chasing his foster brother before curling up for a nap. Duke enjoys leisurely sniff walks and stays calm around other dogs, cats, and people on a leash. While he may be shy in new situations, having another confident dog around helps him find his footing. He gets along well with mature children and would do best in a home where kids are over ten years old. Duke is crate-trained and housebroken, with basic obedience skills. His barking is minimal, usually to alert family to strangers. Heβs eager to be your lap dog or snuggle buddy on the couch. If you're home more often and have a playful dog ready for a sibling, Duke could be a perfect match! Your new best friend awaits you. Ready to meet him?
