Meet Bear! Bear is a 1-year-old neutered male German Shepherd with a bright future ahead of him. He’s looking for a dedicated home where he can learn, grow, and experience the love he truly deserves. Having come to us after neglect, Bear is now transforming beautifully after receiving the necessary vet care. He has tested negative for 4DX and is already improving in health. This young dog is crate and house trained, and he travels well in the car. His love for food makes him highly trainable, and he's already making strides in managing his impulsive behaviors. Currently, we're helping Bear with some tail chasing, which has become a bit of an obsession. A home that understands young German Shepherds and can provide structure, consistency, and plenty of mental stimulation will be crucial to his development. Bear is best suited in a calmer household, ideally with older children or adults, where he can thrive away from chaos. Bear is not suitable for a home with cats, as he’ll chase them while outside. Similarly, small animals and chickens will be too exciting for him. He does not show food protection tendencies, which is a plus. With the right person to help him grow, Bear can become the wonderful companion he is meant to be.
