Daryl is a striking 7-month-old Great Dane and Catahoula mix, displaying both charm and a friendly demeanor. He’s already becoming an excellent companion. With his food motivation and gentle approach to treats, he’s learning quickly and already knows how to sit. Daryl walks nicely on a leash and, if distracted, he responds well to his name or a click sound. Daryl enjoys affection and seeks attention, comfortably accepting full body handling but was a bit shy about having one of his back feet touched. When it comes to hugs, he responds with sweet kisses. He has a playful nature, enjoys toys, and plays appropriately, maintaining a calm demeanor overall. Daryl interacts well with other animals. In dog-to-dog testing, he was polite and relaxed, engaging in play with some dogs while remaining comfortable around quieter ones. His cat test showed promise, as he was calm and mildly curious, easily redirected when needed. As a growing puppy, Daryl will benefit from positive reinforcement training to hone his skills. He’s affectionate, playful, and ready to find a family that will shower him with love and help him grow into those big paws! Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
