About Ames

Ames is a resilient senior dog who has overcome significant challenges, including being shot twice and battling heartworm. Now safe and in the care of the rescue, he seeks a calm and patient home where he can relax and continue his healing journey. Currently on activity restriction, Ames thrives in a peaceful environment, enjoying sunny spots outdoors while listening to the world around him. Inside, he’s content to curl up for cozy naps and is always up for gentle scratches and a few treats. While he’s affectionate and loyal, Ames would be happiest as the only pet in the household, focusing all his love on one special person. He’s ready for someone to offer him the quiet retirement he deserves, filled with warmth and companionship. Would you be the one to give Ames the home he longs for?
