Steve does well with most children; he’s gentle enough for a six-year-old to walk him without trouble, and his leash manners are solid. Crate time or hanging out indoors suits him just fine. Horses don’t bother him, and for fencing, an in-ground/collar setup is the way to go, since he’s an escape artist around standard runs. He’s dog selective and prefers a calm, low-key household.
