Crate trained and calm, he would thrive where he can relax and be close to his people.
About Steve
Steve, a Catahoula Leopard Dog picked up with Violet in Louisiana, carries himself like an old soul. He’s usually stretched out somewhere, happy just being near his people, though every now and then he’ll surprise you with a burst of zoomies. Belly rubs are his absolute favorite. He’s at his best either as a solo dog or sharing attention with Violet—other animals aren’t his scene, and he’s especially firm about being the only male dog in the house. Steve does well with most children; he’s gentle enough for a six-year-old to walk him without trouble, and his leash manners are solid. Crate time or hanging out indoors suits him just fine. Horses don’t bother him, and for fencing, an in-ground/collar setup is the way to go, since he’s an escape artist around standard runs. He’s dog selective and prefers a calm, low-key household. After testing heartworm positive, Steve finished his treatment and just needs standard yearly prevention now. For the right fit, transport can be arranged. Ready to fall in love?
