Meet Toyota! Toyota is a handsome 7-month-old boy who is still learning that people can be kind, patient, and safe. This young cat arrived at the shelter as a stray, so his past is a mystery, and he’s been quite overwhelmed by shelter life. Currently, Toyota feels unsure around people and may try to retreat when handled. He isn’t ready to accept human affection just yet. However, beneath that uncertainty lies a cat with a lifetime of possibilities ahead of him. His journey is just beginning. Toyota needs an adopter with patience, someone who understands that trust takes time. It would help to start him in a quiet room rather than allowing him to roam freely at first. Regular, gentle interactions, along with tasty food and engaging toys, can show him that he is safe. A confident, friendly cat buddy might also help him feel more secure and learn to trust humans. Though he may not leap into your lap today, with time and love, Toyota has the potential to become a wonderful companion.
