About Popeye
Popeye is a spirited, cuddly Lab mix puppy, about 3–4 months old, who was rescued from the streets of Oklahoma with his siblings. Settled now in foster care near Iowa City, he’s eager to find a permanent home where he can thrive. This black bundle of joy loves playing fetch, exploring outdoors, and receiving snuggles from his people. He has an adventurous personality, constantly curious about his surroundings, yet he balances playfulness with a sweet, affectionate nature. As a puppy, he's still learning the ropes; he’s crate trained, walks nicely on a leash, and is beginning his potty training journey. Popeye knows the command “sit” and will thrive with continued training and positive reinforcement. Early socialization is crucial for him, making it a perfect time for him to meet children and other pets as he adjusts to his new home. Under a neuter contract, Popeye’s adoption fee is $500, with $100 refunded when proof of neuter is provided. He is up-to-date on vaccinations, on monthly preventatives, and microchipped.
