Meet Greta! Greta is a gentle 9-year-old Pomeranian/Husky mix weighing about 18 pounds. This sweet girl has experienced more than she should have. Initially brought to a veterinarian for euthanasia because she was no longer wanted as a breeder, she got a second chance and is learning what it feels like to truly be loved. A quiet and mellow companion, Greta enjoys being close to her people. She greets you at the door and often sticks around as you go about your day. Whether you're cooking, showering, or relaxing on the couch, she'll be your little shadow, always close by. Although she can be shy with newcomers, once she warms up, she craves cuddles and companionship. Greta gets along well with both dogs and cats, making her a great addition to a multi-pet household. She’s also best suited for families with children aged 12 and older. While she doesn’t require a fenced yard, keeping her securely on a leash or tie-out is essential since she has a tendency to bolt. Keep in mind, she isn’t leash trained yet. Currently, Greta is still learning potty training and crate training, so patience and commitment from her new family are crucial. She has shown tremendous growth in foster care, having stopped her initial barking when left alone. Greta needs someone who can provide the time, patience, and love she deserves. After all she has been through, Greta just wants to find a home where she can spend her golden years feeling safe and cherished.
