About Nancy

They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply? Meet Nancy! Nancy arrived with her buddy Mike, and though her previous story is a mystery, she quickly revealed herself as a gentle and sensitive soul. She is a bit shy when first meeting new dogs or people and really benefits from slow introductions, both with canine companions and with strangers. Nancy can be unnerved by fast movements or energetic play, sometimes finding quick actions overwhelming. She's searching for a patient family who will understand her hesitance and allow her to settle in at her own pace. With time and gentle encouragement, Nancy’s affectionate personality shines through—she adores gentle affection, enjoys cuddling in laps, and is always eager for a treat. In a calm environment with soft handling, she's sure to become a loving companion. During the Home for the Holidays foster program, Nancy lived with one adult, two older children, cats, and another dog, and adapted well! Her foster family described her as energetic, enjoying chew toys, tug of war, and tennis balls. Although she’s still learning potty training, Nancy does well in a crate and already knows how to sit on command. According to her foster mom, Nancy is incredibly loving, craves cuddles and pets, and can switch between being both gentle and excited. She bonds deeply with her people, is protective, and loves playing both with dogs and her foster family's cats. She truly blossoms in a supportive, calm home environment. If you have a soft spot for a gentle companion and are ready to offer patience and love, Nancy could be the perfect new family member. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
