Meet Nancy! Nancy came to us with her buddy, Mike, and while we don’t know much about their past together, she’s shown us that she’s a gentle, sensitive girl. She can be nervous around new dogs and people, so she'd love to meet potential canine friends, and be greeted slowly with strangers!! Nancy can be unsure around fast movement or high-energy play; quick actions can be overwhelming for her. She's looking for a patient family who are able to understand her uneasiness! Once she warms up, Nancy’s sweet personality blossoms. She loves gentle affection, happily wiggles into laps, and is always eager for a tasty snack. With patience, soft handling, and a calm environment, Nancy will make a wonderfully loving companion. Nancy was also able to spend time in a foster home for our annual Home for the Holidays program! Her foster family-made up of one adult, two older kids, and cats and one dog, loved her!! They said she was energetic-enjoying chewies, tug of war, and tennis balls-is still working on potty training, but good in a crate, and knows how to sit on command. Her foster mom said, "Nancy is so loving and wants to be close to people and get tons of cuddles and pets. She is very sweet and can be gentle. She also can get excited and jump up, but is protective of her people and loves to be around and play with other dogs and "her" cats!" Come meet this tenderhearted girl today!
