Meet Wilson! Wilson is a four-year-old sweetie with a big heart and even bigger love for his people. A perfect day for him includes chasing a ball around the backyard, going for a walk, and curling up beside you for a cozy cuddle session. He came to Beagles and Bentleys from the Lincoln County, NC animal shelter after being seized from his previous owner. Wilson is both crate trained and house trained. He’s a polite boy who knows to sit patiently before getting a treat and is doing well on the leash with his front-attach harness that helps him remember not to pull. He doesn’t guard his food or toys and happily accepts rewards, especially sweet potatoes, blueberries, or chicken-free dog treats. At the groomer, he shines, calmly handling nail trims. While Wilson interacts well with other dogs on walks and through fences, he needs an experienced adopter to help manage his triggers and ensure he thrives. He’ll do best as the only dog in a home without young children. In return, you’ll gain an incredibly loyal companion who loves deeply and forms wonderful bonds with trusted humans. Wilson is an angel with all humans and most dogs. If you’re looking for a devoted best friend ready to continue thriving, Wilson can’t wait to meet you! He is such a sweet boy who loves to play but enjoys snoozing just as much. Wilson is being fostered in Richmond, VA, is up to date on vaccinations, has been dewormed, neutered, and microchipped.
