About Winnie
Meet Winnie, a spirited almost seven-year-old Bichon Frise and West Highland White Terrier mix residing in Walnut Creek, CA. This bundle of sweetness, wrapped in a fluffy, mostly white coat, brings joy to everyone he meets. At just 14 pounds, Winnie is perfect for anyone seeking a small companion with a big heart. He thrives on companionship and turns everyday moments into little adventures, whether he's out for a stroll, cruising in the car, or snuggling up at bedtime. His medium energy level is ideal for an active family, as he loves three to five walks a day or access to a securely fenced yard to stretch his legs. Inside, expect him to have energetic zoomies, so room to run is a plus! Playtime is one of Winnie’s favorite activities. He enjoys stuffed animals, but bring out a ball, and he’ll be ready for a game of fetch. Tug-of-war also makes him a fun interactive buddy. Winnie knows “quiet,” “stay,” and “sit,” comes when called, and he can keep learning with some positive reinforcement. Winnie is friendly with strangers and typically gets along well with cats, although he hasn't met many dogs directly, so his compatibility with them is still a question. He is curious about other dogs on walks and would likely enjoy their company. A younger couple or an active family could provide the companionship and play he is looking for. This sweet boy is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and house-trained. While he is generally healthy, he does have some sensitivity about facial grooming. His groomer has found success using a face muzzle, so working with an experienced groomer can make this easier. While Winnie normally handles short periods alone, he sometimes needs a little encouragement when left alone. Most importantly, he loves closeness, companionship, and being part of the action. Could Winnie be the playful little sidekick your family has been waiting for? Your new best friend is just one click away.
