Mita is a 6-7 year-old sable German Shepherd with a story that tugs at the heartstrings. Her owner, a veteran who cherished her, passed away, leading to her surrender at a Miami shelter. Fortunately, one of our volunteers' friends stepped in just in time to give her a second chance. After receiving treatment for hip dysplasia and ear infections, Mita is now ready to find a calm and loving home where she can enjoy her senior years. She's gentle, affectionate, and housebroken. Mita walks nicely on a leash and loves to play fetch, adding to her charming personality. Weighing in at 52 lbs, she's a petite shepherd looking for an experienced adopter who understands senior dogs and can provide a quiet space for her to relax.
