About Monica
Meet Monica. Monica is about 8 years old, and her journey has been anything but easy. Coming from a difficult hoarding situation, she has only recently discovered the comforts of a loving environment. Monica didn’t get to experience what it means to simply be a dog; instead, she spent her days confined and just surviving, missing out on the love and stability she deserves. Now, she’s slowly learning what freedom and safety feel like. Monica needs a very special adopter. She requires patience and time, along with someone committed to letting her progress at her own pace. Trust doesn’t come easily for her, so she may not adapt overnight. Those willing to take their time will find that supporting Monica through her healing will be a rewarding experience. A few important notes: Monica is a flight risk, so a secure fence is absolutely necessary for her safety. Given her past, she would thrive best as the only dog in the home, allowing her to decompress and build confidence in a calm environment. She is also heartworm positive, but the rescue will cover all treatment expenses. Monica deserves a home filled with grace and understanding. If you have a calm environment, a secure yard, and love for dogs who need a little extra care, Monica may just be the perfect companion for you. Every dog deserves a second chance.
