Meet Gigi. Gigi arrived at our rescue in rough shape, covered in fleas and wounds, and she was starving. Despite this, she's a sweet girl who lights up at the sight of people. Recently, we learned she isn’t pregnant, but she's heartworm positive. The great news? Gigi is safe now. Our vet is caring for her wounds and ensuring she gets the nutrition she needs to gain weight. At about 1 year and 4 months old, Gigi is a medium-sized Pointer/Lab mix weighing around 43 pounds, with adorable speckled socks. She's still quite scared and needs someone patient who can help her learn to trust again. We are working on assessing how she interacts with other animals.
