Meet Hula Hoop! Hula Hoop arrived at the rescue from a challenging hoarding situation, having been neglected and overeating. When we first took her in, she weighed a staggering 28 lbs and was shaped like a hula hoop! After a dedicated weight loss journey, she now weighs 12.8 lbs and is no longer hula hoop-shaped. Health-wise, her blood work is now perfectly normal. Believed to be a Miniature Pinscher mix, Hula is around 9 years old. She is spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, and completely potty trained. Hula is ready to embrace her new life. While she can be slow to warm up, she shows her affection with a joyful wag of her entire body when she connects with you. She is particularly fond of female humans. Given her history, Hula’s forearms and wrists show signs of damage from neglect. This means she shouldn't be expected to take long leashed walks and would thrive in a home with a fenced yard. She does well with other dogs but would prefer a home without cats. Hula is looking for a patient forever home where she can truly flourish and be loved. Currently, Hula is being fostered in Round Rock, TX, and is adoptable in Texas and the Northeastern states.
