Meet Sausage! This 11-week-old bundle of joy hails from Athena’s breakfast litter, and his name fits him perfectly. He’s small, elongated, and wonderfully low to the ground, sporting short legs reminiscent of a Dachshund, all wrapped in a shiny black coat. Sausage’s distinct physique makes him impossible to overlook, and his personality? Even more vibrant. Outgoing and curious, Sausage thrives on attention. He wants to be involved in every activity, always investigating what his humans are up to. When someone sits down, he sees it as a golden opportunity to seek affection. He enjoys frolicking with his siblings, showcasing his abundance of puppy energy, but once playtime winds down, he loves to cuddle and soak up the warmth of human companionship. While his brother’s DNA reveals a mix of breeds, including American Pit Bull Terrier and Dachshund, Sausage's long body and stubby legs suggest he’s inherited the best traits of both. Like all Athena’s puppies, he needs a family that recognizes the importance of patience, training, and supervision for pups as they learn to navigate life. Sausage will require a physically fenced yard for safe exploration and play. He’s been neutered, microchipped, dewormed, and has had his first two distemper/parvo vaccines. His adopters will take on responsibility for the final distemper/parvo shot and his rabies vaccine at 16 weeks.
