About Astraea

Astraea is a resilient young pup with a heart full of happiness, especially considering her difficult past. Initially shy and timid, she’s blossoming in her foster home and learning that there’s no need to be afraid. Astraea is friendly with both dogs and cats—she interacts politely with dogs of all sizes and completely ignores cats. Outside, she remains quiet even when confronted with other noises or barking dogs, which speaks to her calm demeanor. She is currently refining her potty training and is making progress, though she may have occasional accidents. With daily walks, she's improving her leash manners, pulling less as she gets more accustomed to her routine. Astraea is crate trained; she sleeps soundly in a crate at night and enjoys napping there during the day. She has a startled response when awakened abruptly, particularly by other pets, but this should diminish as she continues to settle into her new normal. A patient adopter who understands her background will help her thrive. This gentle girl loves playing in blankets, enjoying treats with soft care, and would fit wonderfully into a loving family.
