Mickey is a five-year-old Labrador Retriever/Treeing Walker Coonhound mix who narrowly escaped euthanasia due to overcrowding at the shelter. Since arriving at the rescue, he’s been fully vaccinated and microchipped. Mickey has made a few canine friends, but he isn’t comfortable around small dogs or any cats, so homes with those won’t be a fit. If you have another dog, a meet-and-greet will be required. He’s a true snuggler and will happily curl up on your lap or stretch out on the couch next to you. Yard playtime searching for tossed treats is one of his favorite things—he has quite a nose and will sniff out every last one. Mickey loves tough toys and tends to destroy anything with stuffing.
