Meet Keko, a sweet and gentle little guy searching for a special person to call his own. Keko has a somewhat protective personality, taking his role of looking out for his human quite seriously. Keko is nearly 100% potty trained and prefers a calm, quiet environment. Unlike your typical energetic puppy, he exhibits a tranquility that surprises many of his foster family. He can be nervous with quick movements and may bark in response, but with patience, he comes out of his shell, relishing cuddles once he feels secure. His progress in handling anxiety around other dogs has been notable, showing he can adapt with the right support. He would thrive in a quieter home with one or two people, ideally with someone committed to using positive reinforcement to help him build confidence. Keko would do best in a home without young children, given his tendency to be startled by rapid movements. He hasn’t been around cats yet.
