ADOPT JOLENE! We'd like you to meet Jolene. She is a 3 yr old 20 lb mixed breed with a beautiful rich black coat and medium-sized legs. Jolene has had a hard time adjusting since she arrived. We don't know what this poor girl has been through in her short life, but we do know that people have failed her. She has come a long way since coming to us, but she still has a long way to go. Jolene would make the perfect companion for another dog. She loves all the dogs in her foster home ranging in size from 2 lbs to 45 lbs. However, it takes her a long time to warm up to people so an adult-only home is required. We believe that Jolene has great potential, but she needs someone who has more time than her current foster does to work on bringing Jolene out of her shell. She is VERY food-motivated, so training with a pocket full of treats will be the ticket! If you have a big heart and the time to work with Jolene, we can help with advice on her training. Jolene requires at least one other dog in the home and a fully fenced yard. She is potty trained and has started barking when she wants to go outside. She LOVES being outside and spends a lot of time outdoors when the weather is nice. Jolene does not like to be crated EVER, mainly because she doesn't like to be in any type of closed-in space.
