About Jolene

Your new best friend is just one click away. Meet Jolene, a lovely 3-year-old, 20-pound mixed breed with a striking black coat and charming, petite stature. Jolene’s journey hasn’t been easy—she’s been let down by people before, so she’s still learning to trust. Progress takes time, and though Jolene has improved in foster care, she needs a patient, understanding adopter to help her blossom further. Jolene thrives with canine companions. She adores all the dogs in her foster home, regardless of their size, and must join a home where at least one other dog is present. People, however, are still a bit scary for her, so she will be happiest in an adult-only home where her need for patience is respected. Jolene is extremely food-motivated, making training a rewarding (and tasty!) experience—her foster family recommends always having treats at the ready. A fully fenced yard is required for Jolene, as she loves spending time outdoors and has picked up the habit of barking when she wants outside. She doesn’t enjoy crates or enclosed spaces, so her new family should be willing to respect her need for freedom. Jolene is potty trained and will need an adopter with a big heart and plenty of time to help her reach her full, loving potential. If you’re ready to work with her, advice and support will be provided to guide you both on this rewarding journey. Born on May 4, Jolene is a Taurus, meaning she’s sure to reward you with steady loyalty and affection as she opens up. Give them the home they have been waiting for. Apply today.
