About Grim
Grim is a joyful 5-year-old Boxer mix eager for a fresh start. Rescued after being found as a stray in Wilmington, he's longing for a loving home after possibly being abandoned. Initially a bit sad, Grim’s goofy personality quickly shone through at the shelter. He’s well known for his warm greetings, offering big bear hugs and playfully sharing his favorite toys with everyone. Grim has also enjoyed outings through the Doggy Day Out program, where he showcased his gentle demeanor. A volunteer shared, "Grim is a gentle giant! After a brief walk, he was happy to explore, accepted pets, and even picked out a toy. He needs a little help getting into the car, but once there, he's a relaxed passenger. We didn’t encounter other dogs during our outing, but he remained calm and focused." His polite leash manners impress everyone, as he keeps the leash loose and checks in regularly. Grim is dog reactive, so he may do best in a home without other dogs. If you feel you can offer this affectionate pup the home he deserves, please fill out an adoption questionnaire. Remember, all household members must meet him to ensure a good fit!
